Smartphone giant, Samsung is all set to launch another budget-friendly office phone for its users soon, a leak revealed. The new Galaxy Stellar 2 is the successor to the original Samsung Galaxy Stellar which was launched back in 2012.

The phone is, according to the news revealed, expected to be launched on 31st August 2017. This edition is intended to be a global launch in 2017, unlike the original version which was partly launched in a few markets. This budget device will be simple yet elegant Samsung design.

Detailed specifications of the phone

Display and Looks: 

As per the leaked images, Galaxy Steller 2 has a curved and sleek body with 2.5 D curved glass over the display. The rear part has a polycarbonate body with a metal frame around it, with the fingerprint sensor placed beneath the home button in front.  The Samsung Galaxy Stellar 2 has a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED HD display. The display is sharp and generates clear image even in the difficult light situations and ensure users experience an unprecedented visual experience.

The smartphone doesn’t rate very high in terms of the specifications of the camera though. It has a 5 megapixels rear camera with LED flash and a basic 1.2-megapixel front camera. So if you love clicking away on your camera to capture those beautiful memories, this may not be the bet camera for you!

Leaked images suggest that the smartphone will be available in black color only and the device will be compact. The volume button is housed on the right side of the phone body, as is the case with most other phones.

Processor and Memory:

This smartphone is expected to come with an octa-core Snapdragon 626 chipset by Qualcomm Processors and 2.5 GB RAM. The device will have internal 32 GB memory expandable up to 128 GB via micro SD card. There will be only one internal memory variant of the smartphone.  Samsung Galaxy Stellar 2 will be an Android phone with Android v7.0 Nougat with OS available out of the box.


The device has a large non-detachable, Li-Ion 3500 mAh battery. The battery will be charged via a microUSB port 2.0 with a quick charge support. The battery has been designed to last an entire day.

Price and Availability:

If rumors are to be believed, the smartphone will be a budget phone and will be available at an  expected price of INR 6600.

The Galaxy Stellar 2 is expected to come with a model number SCH-i300. The dual SIM device will sport 4G with VoLTE and all basic connectivity options such as Wifi, GPS, and Bluetooth.

We say, the phone should be good value for money if you are not looking for very advanced features!
