Sony Xperia Z5 Dual Review

Spread the love

Sony has launched several impressive handsets in the past. So, it isn’t a surprise that the team has come up with something new this time around. Sony Xperia Z5 Dual is the new and last addition to the Z series. According to Sony, this will be the last phone to be launched in the entire Z series. It is an impressive phone with some notable features to tempt one to buy it. It sits between the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium and Sony Xperia Z5 Compact in terms of its specs.

The Sony Xperia Z5 Dual is a regular Z5 with a twist to differentiate it from the Premium and Compact Z series. With plenty of power tucked underneath its glassy back, a vibrant display and a good quality camera, Sony Xperia Z5 Dual has been liked by many. Let’s explore more about its appearance, design and specifications below.

The First Look – Screen

From the first glance, Sony mobile phones do not fail to impress. The screen of the Sony Xperia Z5 Dual is sleek and decently-sized. It displays crystal clear colors and bright images for a good entertainment experience. Though it does not include a pixel dense quad-HD screen like the one in Motorola’s Moto X-Style and Samsung’s Galaxy S6, it does feature a 1080p display.

The screen quality is quite apparent, with oranges, pinks and reds which are vivid, whites are bright, and the blacks are crisp and deep. The display has been made in a way that every color looks perfect and natural on it. Moreover, Sony Xperia X5 Dual’s screen allows you to look at the screen even in bright sunshine and does not create a glare.

The Design of the Smartphone

Sony Xperia Z5 Dual features a different design this time around. It is thin and features four rounded corners with seamless straight sides and a back which has frosted Gorilla Glass. The glass at the back is what gives it a signature look, with a matte finish preventing it from being affected by stains and smudges. The glass is smooth and does not let your Smartphone slip out of your hands.

The new feature in the design is the flat and long metal button. This is a big change in the model as previous models featured circular buttons. Sony has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor too, instead of a conventional rear-facing one. Also, the finger sensor is smooth, fast and accurate. Additionally, the volume keys are located on the lower right hand-side of the phone’s frame. Moreover, this smartphone is resistant to water and can prevent you from having a heart attack if you accidentally drop it in water.
